Parking Notice – Wednesday, September 16, 2026

Please be advised that yardwork will be performed around the Linden Public Library on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. To allow crews to safely complete this work, several parking spaces will be temporarily unavailable. Parking will be limited during this time. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding while this work is completed.

Library Closure Notice – Thursday, June 4, 2026

The Linden Public Library will be closed on Thursday, June 4, 2026, for a staff in-service professional development day.

Please also note that the Library’s phone system will be upgraded on that date. As a result, the Library will be unable to receive phone calls or voicemail messages on June 4th. Phone service is expected to return on Friday, June 5, 2026.

During this time, patrons may contact the Library by email here.

Library Closure Notice – February 24, 2026

Due to dangerous conditions caused by today’s winter storm, the Linden Public Library will be closed on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. We encourage everyone to take advantage of our digital resources, available here.

We apologize for any inconvenience and encourage everyone to stay safe.

Library Closure Notice – February 23, 2026

Due to the Governor’s declaration of a state of emergency and the blizzard warning in our area, the Linden Public Library will be closed on Monday, February 23, 2026. We apologize for any inconvenience and encourage everyone to stay safe. 

In accordance with the Mayor’s directive to open municipal parking lots, residents may park their vehicles in the Library’s in MARKED PARKING SPOTS ONLY for the duration of the storm, effective at 12PM on February 22, 2026. The City of Linden will inform residents when vehicles must be removed from Library property within 4 hours of when the storm stops. Vehicles that are not removed in accordance with guidance will be towed at the owners expense.

Board of Trustees Special Meeting on September 27, 2025

A Special Meeting of the Library Board of Trustees will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 9am in-person at the Linden Public Library.

The purpose of this meeting is to conduct a Board Retreat for professional development purposes. The Board expects to enter into executive session during the meeting. No formal action will be taken.
