Donations Needed for the Friends of the Library Book Sale

Donations are neeeded for the Friends of the Library Book Sale. We are taking donations until September 21, 2023.

  • What: Seeking donations for the Friends of the Library Book Sale.
    • Please no encyclopedias, textbooks, dictionaries, magazines, video tapes, DVDs or CDs.
  • When: We are taking donations until September 21, 2023.
  • Where & How: Please bring all donations to the Linden Public Library. With questions, please call 908-298-3830.

Avoiding Fraud and Identity Theft

  • What: Agnieszka Belch from Garden State Community Bank will present a program on Avoiding Fraud and Identity Theft. Giveaways and light refreshments will be provided.
  • When: September 21, 2023 from 2:30pm until 3:30pm.

Free Kids Karate Class

Free 30-minute Kids Karate Class hosted by USA Karate & Fitness!

  • Who: Kids ages 3 and up may participate.
  • What: USA Karate and Fitness will be hosting a free 30-minute kids martial arts class.
  • When: 3pm until 3:30pm on October 28, 2023.
    • The September 22 class has been cancelled.
  • Where: Linden Public Library.

Movies at the Library: Fiddler on the Roof

  • What: Movies at the Library: screening of Fiddler on the Roof (rated G). Musical of a Jewish family’s struggles in a changing Russia.
  • When: Tuesday, September 19, at 1pm.
  • Where: Linden Public Library.

Project Healthy Bones

  • Who: For older adults.
  • What: Project Healthy Bones, an osteoporosis prevention, exercise and education program.
  • When: Every Wednesday at 10am. Project Healthy Bones will be offered through the end of September, 2023.
  • Where: Linden Public Library.

The City of Linden 2023 Polish Festival!

Mayor Derek Armstead, Council President Michele Yamakaitis, the City of Linden, Uptown Linden, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Union County and the Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union present the 4th Annual City of Linden 2023 Polish Festival. Bringing the Polish community together for one big event! The Linden Public Library will have a table at this event, come and visit!

  • Who: Fun for all ages!
  • What: Polish festival with authentic Polish food, a beer and wine tent, Polish vendors, Polish Living History, live Polish music & DJ, and children’s activities.
  • Where: In front of Linden City Hall (301 North Wood Avenue) and the Raymond Wood Bauer Promenade (400 North Wood Avenue).
  • When: Saturday, September 16, from 12pm until 8pm.
    • Rain Date: Sunday, September 17, 2023.
