Adult Services
Linden Public Library offers various services for our adult patrons in addition to books and programs.
These include, reference services, public computers with internet, printing and scanning, inter-library
loan, notary services, faxing, and some health related services.
Reference Desk
The reference desk is located on the second floor and open during regular library hours. Our reference librarians are happy to assist with any research questions you may have. In order to have the opportunity to serve everyone equally, reference interviews are kept to 30 minutes. If you have a more complicated question you can ask the librarian for a research form. After receiving the form our librarians will work on your request as time allows and contact you with the information request is completed. If you are unable to come to the library in person, you can email us anytime.

Interlibrary Loan
We are able to offer Interlibrary Loan services through JerseyCat, New Jersey’s statewide virtual catalog
and interlibrary loan system. Linden patrons can request titles not in the Linden Public Library catalog in
person, over the phone, or through JerseyCat itself. If the request is accepted, the book is sent over
from the other participating library to us, removing the need to the patron to travel to other libraries.
Interlibrary loans can be borrowed for 14 days. Please note, non-Linden residents and MURAL patrons
are required to submit ILL request through their home library.

offered free of charge to Linden residents. For non-residents there is a fee of $2.50 per appointment.
