Halloween Party

Come join us for the Linden Library Ooky Spooky Halloween Party on Monday, October 25, 2021. Events will take place in the Columbia Bank & Bernice Bedrick Room from 4pm until 8:30pm, and in the Infineum Room from 5pm until 8:30pm. Due to social distancing, this event will be limited to 31 children. Sign-up required at the Circulation Desk at the Linden Public Library.

• What: Halloween party games and activities:
  1. How many candy corns are in the jar? This activity will be set up all night and kids will be encouraged to write down their guess on a piece of paper. Papers will be thrown into a bucket and the winner will be crowned at the end of the party, around 8pm.
     • Where & When: Set up between the Columbia Bank Room and the Infineum Room. Winner will be crowned at the end of the party, around 8pm.
  2. Poke-a-Pumpkin. Game designed for 31 party guests (Sign-up prior to party.). Objective: Numbers will be drawn and guests will be invited to ‘poke’ the coordinating number on the pumpkin to win either a treat, or a trick. 
     • Where & When: Columbia Bank Room from 5pm until 6pm.
  3. Halloween Candy Bingo. Game designed for 31 party guests (Sign-up prior to party).
     • Where & When: Bernice Bedrick Room from 6pm until 7pm. 
  4. Zombie Eye Ball Toss. Party guests will play a skee ball game where they’ll be tossing ‘eye balls’ into cauldrons and pumpkins that have scores attached. Player with the highest score wins a prize.
     • Where & When: Bernice Bedrick Room from 7:30pm until 8:30pm.
  5. Halloween Painting. Party goers will be encouraged to paint-and-take a spooky Halloween sign. This activity will continue for the majority of the night so everyone has a chance to paint. 
     • Where & When: Infineum Room from 4:30pm unitl 8:30pm.
  6. Pass the Ghost. Modeled after Hot Potato.
     • Where & When: Columbia Bank Room from 6pm until 7pm.
  7. Monster Mash Freeze Dance. When the songs stop, whoever is left dancing is eliminated. Winner gets a prize.
     • Where & When: Columbia Bank Room from 7:15pm until 8:30pm
  8. Red’s Red-Hot Face Painting. The Main Character Book Club member and party volunteer, Red Luciano, will have a booth set up where Red will design a portfolio of designs for our party guests to choose from for face painting. This activity will continue for the majority of the night so everyone has an opportunity to have their face painted. 
     • Where & When: Bernice Bedrick Room from 4pm until 8:30pm.
